Arriving for Julian's feast day

Almost two years ago I made a promise to myself that I would come back to Norwich to celebrate Julian's Feast Day and I would stay on the site of her shrine at All Hallows Guest House. As Josie and I sat in Julian's Church bathed in sunlight preparing ourselves for the Solemn Feast Day Mass, tears filled my eyes and all I could say was Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I am so grateful to all of those who supported me through 12 months of back pain, surgery and recovery -this time last year pilgrimage seemed impossible. I am especially grateful to Jack and my family who were such a source of strength and I am grateful to my Hearth Gatherings Community and my extended family at St. Theodore's.

Julian's words of comfort have sustained me in the darker times and it is wonderful to be here in the place infused with her unshakeable belief in God's love for us.

God is indeed our Maker, Lover and Keeper.

In Julian's Cell I placed the intentions, prayers and poems written by Hearth Gathering members during our Julian reflection on May 2nd at her shrine and surrounded them with six candles to remember each of you and pray with Julian that God may grant your desires.
