RETREATS

Each year I offer at least one and sometimes two, Retreats.

Since 2021, I have offered a two-day retreat entitled
Come As You Are.

The invitation to this Retreat posed the following questions:

  • How long since you took some time for yourself – just to be?

  • Are you looking for the kind of quiet that allows you to really slow down?

  • Do you find yourself wondering what life is all about?

  • Do you need to re-ignite your passion, re-commit to your purpose and rediscover a sense of joy in your life?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then this silent retreat could be for you.   You are being invited by the One who made you in love and for love to “Come as you are”. Yes, you! Yes, right now!

Can you believe that this is how God wants you? Can you say yes to finding out?

This will be a very gentle retreat in the Christian tradition with time for silence and individual prayer, spiritual direction, communal prayer, and sacred sharing.

Retreats in Nature

"Today I will do something new.

Today I will seek adventure

Today I will be brave.

Today I will find courage.

And today,

I will believe

That I can do anything.

Today I will choose

my own path."

Jason Tyndall “Where birds sing and wildflowers dance”

Is Nature calling you? Do you long for the sounds of birds, the majesty of gum trees and the freedom to wander and wonder?  How would it be to watch the sun paint the trees in its golden glow as night moves in?

This retreat is your invitation to connect to the Creator and spend precious time being astonished by the beauty that surrounds you.

Tailored Retreats and Reflection Days

If you have seen a topic that you would like to program for your staff, organisation, parish or community, please get in touch to discuss how we might work together to bring this to fruition.

There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.

Leonard Cohen’s song Anthem reminds us that there is hope in times of darkness, that our vulnerability can be a gift.

Drawing on the writings of well- known Irish writer and poet, John O’Donohue, and in particular Eternal Echoes: Exploring our Hunger to Belong, these reflections invite you to embrace your vulnerability and befriend the darkness which holds the mystery of transfiguration.

This program is offered in two parts, however each session also stands alone.

Part One: Darkness is the Cradle of Growth and the Gift of Vulnerability

Part Two: Suffering is the sister of Your Possibility and Out of the Winter comes a new Spring.

Woven through these sessions will be the prayers and poems of John O’Donohue and David Whyte with their Celtic connections to nature as always wrapped in seamless prayer.
