All Shall be Well

These well-known words from Julian of Norwich can comfort us for Julian said that God did not say "Thou shalt not be tempested, thou shalt not be travailed, thou shalt not be dis-eased; " but God said," thou shalt not be overcome."

Life tests us in many ways - in sickness and pain, in grief and loss, in loneliness and depression. These trials may cause our faith to falter. Julian asked her God whether there was anywhere on earth that a lover of God was kept safe but this was not shown to her. "But this was shown: that in falling and rising again we are always kept in that same precious love."

I pray for our trio of pilgrims and for each of you who are following our journey that we may live always in the knowledge of that Love and the hope that we shall not be overcome.

This little hazelnut lasts because God made it, God loves it, and God keeps it. God is truly our Maker, Lover and Keeper.
